  There're a bunch good churches near Fairfax, but this one's mine, and I love it.
  
  By way of background: I've been a part of this church for nearly 20 years. I joined as a young professional, having recently moved into the area. I then married a lovely lady who, like me, found it a place worth joining after college, and am now there raising kids into their teen years.
  
  I've seen a lot during this time: personal highs and lows, tragedies among family and friends, changes in leadership, membership, organization, and affiliation. And mistakes, to be sure (my own mistakes and those of others).
  
  But through it all, I've known loads of folks (hundreds, probably) who are sincere, caring, and humble. Above all, these folks have been transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ: they're thankful for God's forgiveness, and passionate to know and follow Jesus by listening to his Spirit and living in line with God's word.
  
  In this church, people worship God with passion, leaders teach the Scriptures eagerly, and people love to fellowship and help each other out--on Sunday mornings, in small groups, and throughout daily life.
  
  For over 7 years, I've been heavily involved with the ministry to children up through 4th grade, and I'm convinced it's extremely safe and well-executed. I'm now involved with the teenage ministry, and the love and fun being shared by all is just fantastic.
  
  It's not perfect, of course. But it's welcoming, sincere, faithful, and God-exalting.
